How in the world would anyone from a Bahasa Melayu Science background possibly understand spontaneously what "Potassium" is without stopping to think what it is in Bahasa Malayu...

SERIOUS!...

Speaking through experience.. this is one word i recall vividly when i was doing my college studies after our Form 5 (high School). Like most of my peers.. we were educated using Bahasa Melayu (BM) for our science and mathematic studies since primary school. And without doubt, we got so used to it that it became a problem to us when we started adjusting to the english medium used in our tertiary education. Not that we can't adjust to it.. but it does pose a small issue to us.. not to mention the constant frsutration of having to double check our words just to make sure that it doesn't become a laughing stock of our lecturers...


Couple of years back.. science and Mathematics were finally resorted to be taught back in english. Much to my relief.. finally we can fill in the weird gap that occurs in our education system... But this was short lived.. because.....



A PERSON... Dun even wanna know who.. (embarassing la...) spoke in front of national TV... stating that we'll resort them back to BM! (ORITE!)

My point is.. we have finally been able to properly align ourselves to be on par with the international standards set by the international community for science and mathematics .. when suddenly..... this unsound solution came out. (FROM OUR EDUCATION DEPT SOME MORE!) KNNMCH... Sigh.. Another backward step... MALAYSIA BOLEH.

Senators say more money will help them help you

KUALA LUMPUR, July 8 — Some senators today proposed that the government increase their salary, allowances and allocations for them to serve the people more effectively.

Senator Datuk Akbar Ali said senators received smaller allocations from the members of parliament as the senators were not allocated a constituency unlike the assemblymen and MPs.

“But our area is bigger, it’s a whole state, whole of Malaysia. So, I suggest our salary, allowances and allocations be increased.

“With the increase, I believe we will be able to carry out our tasks and responsibilities more efficiently, in line with the emphasis on making people the priority as contained in the 1 Malaysia concept,” he said when debating the Enforcement Agency Integrity Bill 2009 in the Dewan Negara today.

Akbar said currently, the salary and allowances for senators were at par with Grade 54 in the public sector, and he also asked that the allocation be RM200,000 annually and not for three years.

“We are the lawmakers, but our salary is below that of Jusa C. What's wrong with allocating each of us RM200,000 a year to facilitate our implementation of the “people first” concept?”, he said.

Senator Tan Sri Jins Shamsudin interjected Akbar's debate speech, saying that the allocation given to the senators was insufficient as they too served the people.

“I often speak at ceramah and there people approach me for donations. I contribute from my allocation. I finished all of last year's allocation as that's my contribution as a member of the Dewan Negara (Senate).

“If the allocation is finished before the year ends, we should be able to ask for an additional allocation as it's not for us but for the people,” he said.

Akbar said the insufficient allowances and allocations could result in senators looking for other means to raise funds and this could result in conflict of interest or even wrongdoing, thus tarnishing the integrity of the Senate.

I jus watched a documentary about Big Bang theory while i was sippin my tea on a monday nite..
.. The show was so good that it made me interested in the science..

Simple facts :

#1. According to Einsteins model.. imagine space is an elastic fabric.. and u put a heavy object like ur arse ( hehe.. a planet oso can ) on top of the fabric.. the fabric will curve..

So, any object that came aross near the object.. it will roll toward the planet ( or ur ass if u choose that as an example).. That is gravity..

But.. if we folo Einstein model.. then, universe be a moving tin or the planets should be all rolling towards the center..instead of revolving nicely around the suns or watever is in the centre..

Even Einstein duno hw to explain his own theory ..

#2 .. Then.. got tis dude ( he got the space telescope named after him.. mr Hubble ) do one crazi experiment that support this time-spac fabric theory..
During a solar eclipse ( sun blocked by moon momentarily), he observed one of the star that is located behind the sun...not really rite behind ..
BUT.. he see the star is located nearer to the Sun than it should be..
why?? coz the light from the star bends.. BENDS! when it travel nearer to the Sun.

and this happend in 1920s !

#3. .. then , this Belgian Roman Catholics priest ,

Georges Lemaître

using the Einstein Theory of Relativity and proposed that the universe is actually expanding... This explain why the universe didnt collapse due to the gravitational pull on all the planets towards the centre...

** oh.. at that time.. people think Milky way is THE universe..Now, we knw.. there are thousands of galixies in the universe **

and Einstein the guy who came up wif Theory of Relativity disagree with tis model.

#4. ok..ok.. in the 1964, 2 guys who was working wif this extra large antenna.( google Holmdel Horn Attenna) and found out there is this consistent noise from their microwave receiver..
Could it be from the nearby house? the airport? the pigoen shit inside the attenna.. ( the atenna is like a big box la.. )

Miles away.. ppl in Princeton got this theory of cosmic background radiation that could prove that Big bang is more correct than the Solid State universe theory but they build a crude tool..

The string of destiny bring them along and.. bang..! they found the cosmic radiation which contain the leftover heat from the BIG BANG that created the universe..

Wat is amzing.. u gotta rmbr all this is during the time of no computers.. no electronice calculator..

... Well.. wat Big Bang theory gotta to do wif me??

well.. It may got no relation directly.. and it wont make u richer knowing all this stuff. ..

My initial impression was tis video about the street performer ( apek tua org itam) who got nice husky voice .. singing "sTand bY me" ..

BUt .. after the 1st minute of the video..then u will be amaze...
This guy practically mix the sound dubbing from the performers around the world..

In case u wondering all the ppl wearing the big headphone...
i tink .. its is to so the different performer can snyc their performance..

The same thing happen in normal studio recording...
U do not see the singer standing in front of the entire orchestra due to time slots or location..while just to record 1 song.
